Wood Deck Cleaner

Different Wood Deck Cleaner Options

When looking for a wood deck cleaner, you have many options.

Baking Soda, Dish Soap, and Vinegar: These are everyone’s favorite natural cleaners and can be used to clean your deck, as well as tackle algae and mildew.

Borax: This is also an all-purpose natural cleaner. You want to mix this with water and address small areas of the deck at a time.

Bleach: This may not be an environmental choice, but it will do a good job of tackling mold and mildew. Be sure to read the label and use gloves and masks. Bleach can stain certain types of wood so it may not be the best wood deck cleaner. Research your wood before applying.

Pressure Washing: This is an easy way to clean your deck, but be sure to read the instructions on the equipment or use a professional to prevent damage.

TSP: This is used to kill mildew and mold but it may not be the most environmental choice. It should be used with caution and care.
